The Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance, in partnership with Manulife, has announced a new channel sponsorship and content creation initiative for the CanWIT (Women in Tech) Video Sharing Channel for Mentorship.

This expansion will help increase the number of women working in technology-related occupations and encourage women already in ICT to stay in the industry and find a career path that is satisfying and enjoyable.

Adds CanWIT National Spokesperson Cindy Gordon, and CEO of Saleschoice Inc.,  “Mentors and role models are critical to a woman’s decision to enter the technology sector. A mentor’s input and guidance can help build the necessary skills and confidence young people need to advance their careers.”

“This sponsorship expands the CanWIT channel’s reach and enable us to support even more Canadian women interested in a career in technology,” says Jeronimo De Miguel, VP Branding and Creative, Manulife and member of the CATA Innovation Leadership Council (ILC). “This boost the repository of career centre and digital resources available to schools, colleges and universities across Canada.”
